Review: Teslong TD450S Borescope Inspection Camera
Video review on this borescope from Teslong, this is their TD450s model with an articulating tip. This is a two-way articulating borescope and I’ll show you this in a moment. This has 5 feet of reach and can navigate through tight places, viewing objects it just passed through with the articulating head. The borescope and accessories come in a hard EVA carrying case to keep everything in one place and protected. The carrying case is 16.6” wide, 8.5” deep, and 3.34” in height. It also comes with a 32 GB memory card and has a USB-C charging and data cable. On the lid of the plastic case is a zipper pouch to keep all your accessories safe and prevent them from falling out. #teslong #borescope #camera

Press and hold the power button to turn it on.
This is ready to use straight out of the box, no assembly or setup required which makes it very portable and user friendly. It has a 4.5-inch IPS screen. IPS screens are known for having a faster response, wider viewing angle, better color and contrast, outstanding color accuracy, and screen consistency. This means you’ll have the best possible experience when doing an inspection. The screen has a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels. It has 8 LEDs which have various brightness settings to see in those dark places. Being able to adjust the LEDs can help see detail, sometimes having the LEDs too bright can cause viewing issues so having them dimmable gets around this.
As you can see, the articulating tip is controlled by a thumb lever under the monitor.
As mentioned earlier this has a 5-foot cable, it’s semi-rigid, can hold its shape, and can maneuver around tight places. The tip can articulate in two directions, has a 70-degree viewing angle, 2 MP camera, is 0.33 inches in diameter, and has 0.6-4 inches for depth of field. It can articulate a maximum of 210 degrees so it’s able to view back at an area it’s already passed through. The camera is equipped with a temperature probe and has a heat alarm feature when it exceeds 70C or 158F.
M switches the different modes. The front trigger button is to either take photos or enable recording when in video mode.
The top left of the screen will have an icon showing what mode you’re in. The top right will show the temperature if the microphone is on if there is an SD card, and your current battery charge. The bottom left will show if you’re currently recording, this is only in video mode, and the bottom right is the date and time stamp.
The down arrow allows you to rotate the image.
Settings opens up the various options, first is the resolution and there is only one setting of 1280 x 720. Next on the screen is a sound recording and date stamp.
Pressing the setting button one more time will bring up more options. This includes automatic shutdown, language, units of temperature, date and time, format, default settings, and the current version of firmware.
Next is the light button which changes the brightness of the camera. And finally, we have a zoom button, which will enlarge the image to further improve detail viewing.
Its compact and lightweight design makes it easily portable to any workplace, the 3000 mAh lithium-ion battery provides plenty of work time throughout a long work day. There is a built-in microphone to document whatever task you are doing, this is great for logging information at the moment and keeping all your information in one spot.
Overall I have to say this is an excellent addition to anyone’s toolbox. The camera cable is a little more rigid than compared to other models which may make it a little harder to maneuver around tight spaces but it’s also not as easily affected by bumpers or objects where it changes your camera view too easily. The short cable does make it easier to manage, so if you don’t need a borescope with a long reach, then this is perfect for you. Some of the uses and not limited to are inspections in walls for water leaks, determining where components run, or pest control. It can also be used for engine inspections, checking frames for rust, and finding fluid leaks.

Just done this on my 2011 UK model C30 and was identical to yours. The reason I needed to remove mine was obviously somebody had been in there previously and did not line the top clips up correctly as you pointed out, so the top edge of the door card had a hump in it. So many thanks for posting this.

This is the most common method, but fiberglass is to brittle for a lasting repair. If you can sandblast POR15 with glass cloth will last much longer.

Well done! I watched your video to get my head back in the game. One of the most professional "shady tree" demonstrations I've seen, here. The coolant flush/add system by OEM Tools is certainly on my radar, now. I like the idea of being able to watch the level above the radiator and not have to worry about a messy dismount, afterwards. For viewers who want the fan off, first: O'reilly's has a fan removal tool (By "Lisle") on the shelf for ~$30 (part #: 43580), that fits this truck (mine, 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 5.7L). They do carry the rental tool, as well; I didn't bother with that gamble. I've read that Advance Auto's rental tool DOES for sure contain the correct attachment, but sticking to one store was a goal for me. I confirmed the fitment of the "shelf" tool from O'reilly's while my truck was still in the parking lot before purchasing.

For others doing this, if you have a ratcheting wrench, you don't have to remove the whole driveshaft and you can save some time. Loosen the connecting bolt for the two halves first with a normal wrench. Then use a ratcheting wrench to speed things up. wrench will be stuck in place when the bolt is backed out. Then do the 3 guibo bolts. Support the back half of the driveshaft with a jackstand and slide the front half off. Came here to get the correct orientation since I split this project between 2 days haha, you rock! Thanks!!

It’s scary how most people don’t even think to inspect the frame for rust when buying a used car!! And if you go back in time just a few months I’m also talking about myself! Now I’m obsessed with frame condition. So I just looked at about 3000 photos while looking to buy a used car…NOT ONE photo of a frame yet.
